How It Works
The In2Care® Mosquito Station is made from durable plastic and uses water combined with an odor lure to attract Aedes and Culex mosquitoes. Once inside, mosquitoes come into contact with a specially treated gauze near the water surface, becoming contaminated with both a larvicide and a fungus. We exploit the fact that Aedes and Culex like to divide their eggs over multiple sites; by letting them fly out of the Station whilst carrying larvicide on their legs. The mosquito becomes it's own worst enemy and transports the larvicide to its breeding sites.
